The OLDSCHOOL, the senior ensemble at Schauspiel Köln, is staging a post-antiquated auction spectacle: more than 20 performers are auctioning themselves off. A tour through the collaged diversity of ageing lifestyles creates encounters full of humour, poetry and obstinacy. Test our innovative discontinued models for durability, humanity, tenderness, forgetfulness, sweetness, articulation and much more. Valuable, but not priceless - Bid, too: Top over 60 premium qualities to try out.

How empathetic are we towards the 60+ generation? What images are older people, often portrayed as a homogeneous group, associated with in society's perception? OLDSCHOOL defies this generalisation and presents RENT A GRANNY, a concentrate of liveliness that underlines the value of intergenerational encounters.

The focus is on the performers' own life experiences and views, who have already produced numerous productions as a senior ensemble since 2015. Theatrical works develop from their processual engagement, such as most recently the highly acclaimed stage production LOVELLY SHRIVELLED MEA, which takes a multi-layered look at intergenerational discourses and makes it possible to experience a change of perspective.
