What Salvador Dalí meant for painting and Luis Buñuel for film, the Spanish choreographer Marcos Morau means for dance. In his pieces, he creates surreal images of alien beauty, symbolic worlds of movement, art, architecture, text and music. SONOMA is the name of the new creation - a neologism created by the choreographer from the Greek word "soma" (body) and the Greek word "body". "Soma" (body) and the Latin "Sonum" (sound). SONOMA captures the sound of bodies falling forward in a rapidly evolving time. Morau creates fantastic images with the nine dancers of "La Veronal", inspired by the cosmos of surrealist filmmaker Luis Buñuel. SONOMA begins with a scream and ends with a loud crash. In the middle of it all, in a landscape between reality and fiction, a group of women try to free themselves from the shackles of the known and cross borders. They listen to the sound of the abyss that opens up when the imagination is free.
