Katrin Connan is an artist and set designer.  She studied visual arts at Academie Minerva in Groningen, Netherlands and visual arts and scenography at the HFBK in Hamburg, Germany (class of Prof.Raimund Bauer). She works with sculpture, painting, lyrics, and music, in theatres as well as in art institutions. She has internationally collaborated as a set designer with stage directors Johannes Erath, Anna-Sophie Mahler, and Hans Neuenfels at Opernhaus Zürich, Staatsoper Stuttgart, Bayerische Staatsoper, Residenztheater in Munich, Teatro dell‘ Opera di Roma, Nationaale Opera Amsterdam, Volkstheater and Theater an der Wien in Vienna, Semperoper Dresden, Thalia Theater and Staatsoper Hamburg. Since 2022, she has been a mentor in the post-master professionalization program at the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg.
