Lennart Göbel studied Communications and German Literature in Bamberg. While studying for a Masters in New German Literature he worked as a stage technician at the ETA Hoffmann Theater. His first steps as a dramaturg took him to the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin and the Burgtheater in Vienna. He then joined the Dramaturgy department at Staatstheater Stuttgart from 2022. Here he assisted a great deal and was also responsible for his own productions. In addition, he conceived and supervised the participatory discussion format “Generation.Konflikt” and produced his own short stage plays. He is the author of the anthology “Pop goes literature – Musiker:innen und Autorschaft” (transcript, 2022) and was a fellow of the Heidelberger Stückemarkt 2023. Most recently he has worked as dramaturg with the director Maximilian Immendorf at venues including the Mousonturm in Frankfurt and the Rabbit Hole Theater Essen. Lennart Göbel is Dramaturg at Schauspiel Köln from the 25|26 season.
