Anna Klaine was born in Curitiba, Brazil. Her work operates at the intersection of architecture, performance, and visual arts. In her home country, she was part of an interdisciplinary artist collective with which she developed her first performative spatial works. During her master’s studies, she designed stage environments for contemporary dance productions—among others at the Uferstudios, the Podewil Palais, and the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts. Additionally, she designed the set for a short film that was screened at the Berlin Independent Film Festival in 2025. She works in the production department at the Nationaltheater Mannheim and also develops her own in-house studio projects. Internships have taken her to venues including the Schaubühne Berlin. Anna Klaine is a qualified architect and urban planner, with a study stay at ENSAP Bordeaux, and a graduate of the artistic master’s program in stage design and scenographic space at the Technical University of Berlin.
