Kasimir Pretzschner grew up in Dresden, where he made his stage debut in the Bürger:Bühne production of "Leonce and Lena" (directed by Joana Praml). This was followed by further experience at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden, playing Petrell in "Krankheit Jugend" based on the play by Ferdinand Bruckner (directed by Olaf Altmann and Oda Pretzschner), as well as a dance extra in „Macbeth" (directed by Christian Friedel) and "Dorian" (directed by Robert Wilson). After completing his A-levels, appearing in several productions for ARD and ZDF, and undertaking an internship in a Mateja Koležnik production at the Berliner Ensemble, he began studying acting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ in Leipzig in 2024. From the 2026/27 season onwards, as part of his training, he has been a member of the Schauspielstudio at Schauspiel Köln. Since 2025, Kasimir Pretzschner has been a scholarship holder of the Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit.
