Ach! - Ein Kleist-Porträt

The personal solo performance by ensemble member Jonas Dumke is a homage to the torn spirit and language artist Heinrich von Kleist. Through quotations from his letters, novellas, and plays, a shimmering kaleidoscope emerges — a portrait of a writer whose character and biography both fueled his creativity and, at the same time, obstructed his life and work, leading to his tragic end. From the young soldier to the literary outsider he became, the evening traces the story of a mind longing for self-fulfillment.
