Theatre of Dreams

In “Theatre of Dreams,” Hofesh Shechter – famous for his high-energy, direct style and powerful, pulsating music – and his British-based ensemble take a headlong dive into a world of fantasy and the subconscious, revealing fears, hopes, and desires. Accompanied by a live band, the dancers’ surreal movements evoke a dream landscape on a stage that lighting designer Tom Visser transforms into a powerful, sculptural space – a synthesis of dance, music, and light. “A dance piece is like a dream,” says Shechter. “It allows us to feel and to see the world as it looks inside people.”
