BLACK GIRL IN AMERICA

Reading & Talk
Offenbach am Carlsgarten
Just like many children of South African parents who were active in the liberation struggle, author Sisonke Msimang, too, was a ray of hope. As a BLACK GIRL IN AMERICA, however, she experienced permanent disregard and turned her political consciousness into political activism. Sakiye Boukari of the Import Export Collective reads out the German translation by Aminata Cissé Schleicher, while Azizè Flittner interprets the conversation into German.
