Sexy Straight White People

By vT corp. • With Hannah Müller & Max Gadow
THUR 08 JUNE • 18.00 P.M.
Performance • 1h 20 min • Concert Hall
The private sphere is political. Especially in the lives of the artists H&M. It is so political, in fact, that there no longer seems to be any boundaries to anything at all. Everything is art. Even the private. But above all the political. If H&M is not a fashion label, not a queer artist couple, and certainly not a representative of the hip Neukölln club culture scene, then what are they? A film whose image does not show itself. An exhibition in which the context is missing. A song without artists. A piece within a piece without a piece. Along with catharsis that flushes down the toilet. Projections and fragments, assemble in the viewers. SEXY STRAIGHT WHITE PEOPLE is a theatrical performance about the power of gender identities.

vT corp. challenge habits of seeing, living and sex, to question the ways of life and forms of love of the heteronormative mainstream.
In this and other works he focuses on the investigation of western myths and power structures and derives performative processes from them. Pop culture, new media, and technologies are hybridized with canonized cultural property in these works. The erosion of culture through the capitalist logics of value creation and profit increase are recurring themes. vt corp. are Hannah Müller and Max Gadow.

With
Hannah Müller
Hannah Müller grew up in Hamburg. After studying acting at the University of the Arts in Berlin, she was a member of the ensemble at the National Theater in Mannheim for two years. Since 2017, she lives as a freelance artist and actress in Berlin. She deals with subversive criticism of the present and neoliberal-western thinking and tries to reveal the essence of this world in her work. In doing so, she does not devalue the present, but tries to clarify and magnify it. 2020, Hannah was a scholarship holder of the international forum of the Berlin Theatertreffen. She founded vT corp. in 2020 together with Max Gadow.
