Human dreams of social equality and political emancipation have been making themselves heard in ever new variations for centuries now: in 2021, members of the choir of the Weltkulturbühne came together with the Cologne artist Erdal Şahin for a musical project. With newly composed pieces, they now present a work of world literature together with Ozan Akhan and Hakan Korkut: Nazım Hikmet's THE EPOS OF SHEIK BEDREDDIN. Bedreddin lived and died for the realisation of his dream of brotherhood, equality and freedom.
