Traudl Bünger is an author, dramaturg, and cultural mediator. She was part of the programming editorial team of lit.Cologne, which she later directed, was responsible for phil.Cologne, and in 2017 was among the co-founders of lit.Ruhr. In her curatorial work, Bünger primarily explores the points of contact between art, society, and contemporary politics, developing formats that move between text, performance, music, and discourse. She published her literary debut "Lieblkingskinder" in 2012. This was followed in 2024 by "Eisernes Schweigen. Das Attentat meines Vaters" (Iron Silence: My Father’s Assassination), a work of literary nonfiction that intertwines personal history with contemporary history and is based on research conducted in more than 20 archives. In 2025, together with Anne Brorhilker, she published the bestseller "Cum/Ex, Milliarde und Moral". At Schauspiel Köln, she is developing the focus area THEATRE AND JOURNALISM together with Kay Voges and Alexander Kerlin, and curates the current talk series BABY, DON'T GIVE UP!
