Jessica Rockstroh was born in Stuttgart and studied stage and costume design there at the State Academy of Fine Arts under Professor Jürgen Rose. This was followed by a three-year period as an assistant designer, during which she worked primarily with the set designer Martin Zehetgruber. Since 1998, she has worked as a freelance stage and costume designer for both theatre and opera, with engagements at numerous venues including the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Burgtheater Vienna, the Volkstheater Munich, Schauspiel Leipzig, Theater Dortmund, Schauspiel Köln, and the Berliner Ensemble. Jessica Rockstroh currently collaborates with Itay Tiran, Martin Kušej, Fritzi Wartenberg, Elsa-Sophie Jach, and Lucia Bihler. The production MONSTER is her third collaboration with Itay Tiran as director, following "Mein Kampf" and "Moskitos", both staged at the Burgtheater Vienna.
