Different every night – is what the ideal theatre can be. Henning Nass is a dramaturg and radio author. As a dramaturg, his work has taken him to numerous institutions including the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin, Schauspielhaus Dortmund and both the Burgtheater and Volkstheater in Vienna. He has worked together with countless directors and artists, among them Christoph Schlingensief, Jonathan Meese, René Pollesch, Markus Öhrn, Paul McCarthy, Ragnar Kjartansson, Werner Herzog and Sebastian Baumgarten. At the same time, he also produces radio dramas as an author and director for WDR, SWR and Deutschlandradio. On stage, Henning Nass is usually interested in supposedly minor themes and the mysteries of life and in plays that create a direct experience of reality as it is manifest in that moment. He currently also teaches on the course in Scenography at the Academy of the Arts in Vienna. From the 25|26 season he will be a freelance dramaturg at Schauspiel Köln.
