Karolina Wyderka (born 1989) studied architecture and interior design at the Peter Behrens School of Architecture in Düsseldorf. Her master’s thesis was awarded by the BDA Düsseldorf in 2015. After gaining initial experience in set design and styling for fashion photography and advertising, she began working in film and theatre from 2017 onwards, including roles as a set design assistant and scenographer. In the 2022|23 season, she was resident set design assistant at Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, contributing to productions by Robert Wilson, Lara Foot, and Roger Vontobel. She has created her own set designs for Junges Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Theater Duisburg, and Stadttheater Ingolstadt. Her production “Solingen 1993” at Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus was awarded the 2024 Der Faust Theatre Prize. Since 2018, she has also designed sets for the theatre collective SeTA and worked on “Dream Machine” at the 2021 Theater der Welt festival.
