 DAS NEUE STADTENSEMBLE AM SCHUASPIEL KÖLN 

The city ensemble at Schauspiel Köln is newly formed each season and develops productions reflecting perspectives from across the entire urban community. Under the professional guidance of David Vogel and Nina Mackenthun, these productions become a regular part of our season’s repertoire. For the debut in the 25/26 season, we are looking for a diverse group of people interested in exploring their age, intergenerational dialogue, and biographical material—drawing inspiration from Heike Faller’s book "Hundert".

We are looking for people aged 20 to 60, with a permanent residence in Cologne or the surrounding area, who have the physical and mental ability to perform confidently on a large stage in front of an audience, who are eager to share biographical experiences, and who are willing to commit to an intensive rehearsal process.

No prior theater experience is required!
While we are looking for people who are not afraid of the stage, the main focus is on enthusiasm for group work, joy in performing, and an interest in biographical theater. This is an amateur ensemble and does not replace professional engagements.

Selection workshops (attendance at one session is mandatory – please indicate your preferred date):

• Sunday, Sept 22 | 6:00–9:00 PM | City center
• Friday, Sept 26 | 3:00–6:00 PM | Cologne-Mülheim
• Sunday, Sept 28 | 2:00–5:00 PM | City center

Rehearsal kickoff: Saturday, Nov 15, 2025 | 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Regular rehearsals: starting Monday, Nov 17, 2025 | every Monday 6:00–9:00 PM
Intensive rehearsals: Jan 2–4, 2026 (full days) | April 8–12, 2026 (full days)

Final rehearsals: May 18–29, 2026 (please reserve full days)

Premiere: May 30, 2026
