How do I buy a ticket?
- Visit the advance booking counter, pay, and take your tickets with you.
- Reserve by phone and collect and pay for your tickets at least three working days before the performance.
- Pay by credit card over the phone. You can then either collect your ticket at the box office or advance counter, or receive it by email (e-ticket) or by post.
- Come to the evening box office spontaneously and ask if any remaining tickets are available.
- Purchase your ticket online and either print it at home or load it onto your mobile device.
Who is eligible for a discount?
FOR INDIVIDUALS
Students, school pupils, and participants in a Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) or Federal Voluntary Service (BFD) receive a 50% discount on regular ticket prices in advance sales.
FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
Persons with a certified disability of 100% or with a ‘B’ mark on their disability ID receive a 50% discount on the regular ticket price. Authorized accompanying persons are admitted free of charge.

Starting with the 2025|26 season, every ticket you purchase actively supports Cologne’s independent cultural scene: The ticket price for events at the Opera, Schauspiel, and Dance is increased by just EUR 1 per ticket – a small contribution with a big impact! The additional revenue goes directly to projects and initiatives of the independent scene, helping to sustainably strengthen Cologne’s cultural diversity.
