Over the course of their lives, humans shed around five million tears, equivalent to about 80 liters, or half a bathtub full. But tears are only a small, visible part of the grieving process. A process of dealing with changes in life, of reassembling one's self-image. We stumble over memories we have already forgotten. We stumble over our own bodies. How are sadness and comfort connected? Where does the anger over a loss reside, and how do we come to accept it? When something disappears, have we really lost it, or have we just misplaced the memory of it?

Shortly before the performance begins, we actively immerse ourselves in the production, perform, familiarize ourselves with the narrative, and become acquainted with the motifs within the framework of FAUST. A warm-up for all those who enjoy acting, while the ensemble prepares backstage at the same time.

Between old factory buildings, new neighborhoods, and the stories of Keupstraße: Cologne-Mülheim is full of life and memories. Our district guides take you on walks, telling stories of resistance, community, and the lively Mülheim of yesterday and today. Together, we discover favorite places, hear personal anecdotes, and experience how the neighborhood is constantly changing. Each tour is a piece of Mülheim as it is lived—told from the perspective of the people who call it home.

5.3.26. | 17.00 h

Every six months, we invite you to join us for a collegial exchange: to provide new impetus, present current projects, and discuss challenges in practical theater work. This includes a preview of the premieres for the coming half-year, a visit to a performance, and a look behind the scenes at the theater.

12.3.26 | 18.30 h

For anyone who's curious and wants to get more hands-on experience: The stage is yours! In these open workshops, you can try your hand at theater. Each workshop is new and different, takes place in a safe environment, and is tailored to current productions in the program. No prior experience is necessary.

You are the very first! At regular intervals, we offer interested teachers and multipliers the opportunity to attend rehearsals shortly before the premiere: take a look, gather and exchange impressions – and perhaps even talk to the production team.

22.3.26

We invite members of the LGBTQIA+ community to performances that deal with queer themes. What significance does the portrayal of gender, sexuality, and diversity have? Before the performance, there will be a short introduction to the production, followed by a discussion in a relaxed atmosphere.

27.3. | 19.00 h

Are you curious about theater, but sometimes don't know exactly what you want to see? Would you like to be part of a community where you can discuss your experiences? The Guckklub meets once a month and is open to anyone aged 16 and over: meet new people, deepen your understanding of theater, and round off the evening with lively discussion.
