Costume designer Eleonore Carrière was born in Berlin and initially studied Cultural Studies in Frankfurt|Oder. After an internship with Christoph Marthaler and Anna Viebrock, she developed a close collaboration with the Volksbühne Berlin, first through numerous assistant roles and later through her own work with Jan Bonny, Florian Hein, and Constanza Macras. She went on to create productions at Thalia Theater Hamburg, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Residenztheater München, Berliner Ensemble, Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, Volkstheater München, and Staatstheater Wiesbaden, working with directors such as Leander Haußmann, Markus Öhrn, Sebastian Baumgarten, Max Lindemann, and Marie Schleef. For the production “Drama” at Volksbühne Berlin, she was nominated as Best Emerging Artist in the 2023 critics’ poll by Theater Heute. In addition to her theatre work, she also works as a stylist and costume designer in film.
