Bettina Lieder was born in Görlitz and studied acting at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in Munich. She has worked with, among others, Claudia Bauer, Stefan Kaegi (Rimini Protokoll), and Anna-Sophie Mahler. In 2017 and 2021, she was invited to the Berliner Theatertreffen. Whether "Hedda Gabler" or experimental projects like "humanistää!" – she loves doing something new, something from which she can learn. For her, theatre means a shared experience in the moment – always fresh, always alive. What should theatre do without? Taking itself too seriously.
