Chora (Sora)

The Japanese word “sora” can be translated as “sky” or “emptiness”, while “ma” denotes a space in between objects, the deliberate gaps and breaks that give everything shape and meaning. The young Italian choreographer Sofia Nappi and her company Komoco explore these spaces with their highly individual movement language, one that is based on theatricality and expressiveness and blurs the boundaries between dance, theatre and performance art.
