Who is your icon? That was Eric Gauthier’s first question to the choreographers he most wanted to work with on this new production. ICON/ICONS brings together seven choreographies for an evening of dance centered on the theme of inspiration. Created by eight dance "heavyweights," the pieces are dedicated to the artists who played a pivotal role in shaping their own paths. The result is a multifaceted spectrum that brilliantly showcases the diversity of dance—creating encounters between equals, a dialogue, in a sense, from icon to icon.
