Theaterlabor: Blaue Stunden am Rhein

What forgotten stories drift within the Rhine’s waters? Inspired by »DAS RHEINGOLD« (Oper Köln) and »DAT WASSER VUN KÖLLE ES JOT« (Schauspiel Köln), we are creating a musical performance in the heart of the city with people aged 16 and up. Rehearsals alternate weekly between Cologne folk songs and biographical theater techniques. In the final phase, music and performance are woven together into a public presentation. Participants may also choose to join only the musical or only the theater sessions if they prefer. The project includes a performance visit to »DAS RHEINGOLD« as well as an open rehearsal of »DAT WASSER VUN KÖLLE ES JOT«. The new Theater Labs are hands-on opportunities for everyone in the city to explore theater. Based on productions from the season, participants can gain stage experience, try out new ideas, form an ensemble, and experiment creatively—without the pressure of a full production. They are perfect for newcomers or for anyone looking to expand their stage skills.
