Are we living in a simulation? With quirky humour, media artist, director, lecture performer and nerd Arne Vogelgesang takes us on a journey through the history of simulation in his new solo piece. Always interested in how people engage with digital media phenomena, he roams through worlds of oracles, digital doubles, experimental systems and training devices. Arriving in our present day, everything seems simulable: the movements of subatomic particles and planets, global weather systems, language, traffic flows, consumer behaviour, material fatigue, sleep patterns and war in all its forms. Thus he touches upon the contemporary form of an age-old scepticism regarding the status of reality. And where better to answer this question of reality or simulation, of appearance or essence, than in the theatre!

Es ist definitiv ein lohnenswerter Tripp. Nach 80 Minuten kehrt man klüger in einer Welt zurück, nicht mehr ganz sicher, ob sie nur eine Höhlenwand ist.
