Marleen Johow studied stage and costume design from 2018 until graduating in 2024 under Professor Katrin Brack at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich. During her studies, she received a scholarship from the Bright Foundation in 2023. Prior to beginning her studies in 2015, she completed training as a stage painter at the Münchner Kammerspiele, graduating successfully in 2018. While still studying, she began working as a freelance artist. She designs and creates realistic sets and costumes for film, theatre, photo productions, and exhibitions. Her work has been shown at the MünchnerKammerspiele, Junges Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Staatstheater Kassel, Theater Osnabrück, Theater Münster, Theater Mainz, and the B-Studiotheater.
