David Vogel is a director and arts educator who engages with intergenerational formats, biographical theatre, and diversity in the performing arts. He studied theatre education at the Berlin University of the Arts; further professional stations included the Grips Theater, the Geheime Dramaturgische Gesellschaft, and the independent theatre group Tempus Fugit. Since 2019, he has been working at Schauspiel Köln with a focus on artistic theatre education and productions featuring everyday experts. Since the 2021|22 season, he has headed the department THEATER – STADT – SCHULE. From 2019 to 2025, he was the artistic director of the senior ensemble Oldschool, with whom he realized numerous interdisciplinary productions and projects throughout the urban space in collaboration with various cultural institutions.
