Inter Alia

What do you care about more: combatting violence against women or defending your own son? Jessica is a successful judge who specialises in sexual offences against women and girls. She has passionately dedicated her life to fighting one of the greatest injustices that still exists: that it seems “normal” for men to become offenders and women to remain victims. The job doesn’t stop – even in her private life. Raising her son Harry, nothing can go wrong in educating him about sexuality and consent. Which man might have made indecent approaches to him? He has to tell her. And which porn films has he watched in his room after school? Harry has to share that too. Whatever happens, he has to be better - and better than his own father, Jessica’s husband, who has had to learn a few lessons from his wife. But what happens when this educated boy suddenly comes under suspicion himself? Following the international success of “Prima Facie”, INTER ALIA, which received its world premiere at the National Theatre London in the summer of 2025, is Suzie Miller’s next scorchingly topical play. Director Jorinde Dröse and performer Claude De Demo continue their collaboration after their success of their joint project #MOTHERFUCKINGHOOD.
