Trauer//Fall

Over the course of a lifetime, one sheds around five million tears — about 80 liters, or half a bathtub full. Yet tears are only a small, visible part of the grieving process. Grief is about learning to cope with life’s changes and piecing together a new image of oneself. We stumble over memories we thought we had forgotten. Where do sadness and comfort meet? How does anger over loss live within us? And when something disappears, is it truly lost—or merely misplaced in memory? Through language, movement, and performance, the young artists of POLYLUX explore a shared way to face grief—and to uncover what can still move us within it. POLYLUX is the youth ensemble of Schauspiel Köln, open to young people aged 13 to 18.
