Born in Mönchengladbach, Jonas Dumke pursued his acting studies at the University of the Arts in Bern, where he completed a Master of Arts in Expanded Theater in 2023. Towards the end of his studies, he developed the solo performance »‚ACH!‘ A Kleist Portrait« based on Kleist’s letters, which received multiple awards and was invited to several festivals. For him, theater is a place of community, of pleasure and joy – and it may also be a place of grief and pain. After completing his studies, he became a permanent ensemble member at Theater Aachen, where he was honored with the Aachen Audience Award and the Kurt Sieder Award.
