We need to talk! About diversity, the redistribution of wealth, democracy, fragile masculinity, abuses of power and freedom – but it can’t be boring, says Nikolaus Benda. After graduating from the Otto Falckenberg Schule in Munich in 2002, he has worked with a wide range of directors. He has also performed in films, radio and television, and received both the Max Ophüls Preis and the First Steps Award for his work on “Label Me”. He taught at HMT Leipzig until 2022. The Hamburg native believes that themes need means of transport – as well as a sense of humour, slapstick, comedy, energy and radical love.
