Jorinde Dröse studied directing at the Institute for Theatre Directing at the University of Hamburg and worked as a director at various theatres until 2016, including the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, the Deutsches Theater Berlin, and the Maxim Gorki Theater. Since 2009, she has also been a mother and took a break from the theatre system between 2017 and 2021 to work as a forest educator and homeschooling teacher. In the 2021|22 season, Jorinde Dröse resumed her work as a director, focusing on feminist narratives and diversity both on and off stage. She has directed productions at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, RambaZamba Theater, the Salzburg Festival, Staatstheater Hannover, Berliner Ensemble, Theater Bremen, and Schauspiel Köln.
