Raised in Stralsund, trained in Leipzig, and performing on stages from Eisleben, Essen, Kassel, and Dortmund to Vienna – Andreas Beck has been drawn to the theatre for decades because each evening is a new beginning. Because you breathe, laugh, and cry together with the audience. Because the German word for entertainment (Unterhaltung) also contains the word for attitude (Haltung). He has worked with Kay Voges, Luk Perceval, Thorleifur Örn Arnarsson, and many others. Music is just as important to him as acting; out of this passion, he even formed a band with fellow ensemble member Uwe Rohbeck. On stage, everything interests him: faith, love, hope, migration, the political shift to the right, relationships. The main thing is that it touches people. After all, every role is a good role – if you bring it to life.
