Sebastian Grünewald was born in Coburg and trained as an actor at HMT Leipzig. Ensemble engagements have taken him to theatres in Leipzig, Berlin, Basel and Düsseldorf. He has enjoyed a close collaboration with Martin Laberenz and has worked with numerous other directors including Claudia Bauer, Jürgen Kruse, Stefan Pucher and Alexander Eisenach. He is a member of the artists’ collective Das Manko. For him, theatre lives from courage and an ensemble spirit and has one indispensable ingredient: its audience.
