Du musst Dich entscheiden!
Cologne premiere
“Fun is a medicinal bath.” (Theodor W. Adorno) It’s primetime, and a nation wants to be entertained. And these days what do people find more entertaining than celebrating their own opinions? In this TV show, seven contestants compete with each other for two million Euro in prize money, broadcast live and streamed from Cologne at peak German viewing time. Competing this time: Layla from Berlin and Vienna, Ferdinand Ebenauer from Pressingberg near Hammerboden in Carinthia, Maik and Moritz from Cologne’s Belgian Quarter, Nilufar and Rico Schultze from Kleinroda in Thuringia, and finally Kyung-Hye Song, a musician of Korean heritage from Bonn. DU MUSST DICH ENTSCHEIDEN! (“You Must Decide!”) is produced by the TV legend Harry Weinlein and is like an x-rated version of “1, 2 oder 3”, hosted by Michelle Pelosi and Tommy McDonalds. These two set difficult contemporary questions in a multiple-choice format, with the audience voting on their smartphones. “You’ll see if you’re right when we turn on the light.” This is brave 2026 TV in our democracy – with all the jeopardy and beauty of a contest.

After more than two and a half hours, the audience rewards an intellectually stimulating evening of sharp dialogue with thunderous applause — a performance that, despite its high level of awareness, doesn't shy away from conflict or bold humor.
