Britney X Festival

The performance festival focusing on gender, race, and class has been an integral part of the Schauspiel Köln program since 2017. In 2024, BRITNEY X continues dishing up loads of fantastic artists, aesthetics, and formats. Lectures, concerts, parties, performances, digital art, and exhibitions create an annual platform which recently provided for the visibility of marginalized groups in Cologne’s urban spaces. In spring 2024 we’ll announce the lineup, which has previously included artists such as Trajal Harrell, Carolin Emcke, Doris Uhlich, and Alyona Alyona. So again it’ll be all things diversity, queerness, and empowerment.
