The friends Chana, Frederike, Nurit, Debora, Charlotte and Roya want to spend time together. They decide to visit Chana’s grandmother in Cologne and to celebrate her birthday together. Chana is quite excited about how the get-to-know will be like. Her grandmother has survived the Shoa and often talked about her experiences as a persecuted jewess. How will the others react to this story? What do they know about their own families’ past?
The time together will be fun, exciting, but sometimes also painful and full of conflict. And suddenly the cohesion of the friend group breaks down. Will they all still make it to Cologne in time, to celebrate together with Chana and her grandmother?
