EDUCATION
Depot
In the 2022/23 season, six young people with disabilities and a love for the theater form part of NEXT GENERATION at Schauspiel Köln. In weekly lessons, Jan Grünig, Lorelei Holtmann (not pictured), Nina Jaunich (not pictured), Finnja Negendank, Swaantje Reichstein, and Felicitas Wolff will learn tools to smooth their way to auditions at public and private drama schools. In addition to voice training and character and body work, they will have the opportunity to perform in Schauspiel Köln repertory. Together we seek to explore the new artistic professionalism that arises in the interaction of performers with and without disabilities. What new aesthetics will we happen upon? What new perspectives on theater will challenge us? What unsettles us? Who inspires us? On 7 June the program culminates in a final presentation on the Depot 2 stage. Next season the project continues with a new class.
