Triptych, co-produced with TanzKöln, consists of three parts, The Missing Door (2013), The Lost Room (2015) and The Hidden Floor (2017), all originally choreographed by Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier for the Netherlands Dans Theatre.

Each in their own right, the pieces live through the permanent unpredictability of what happens on stage and are loosely interwoven through the characters, who develop in different spaces from which there is no escape. Each part of Triptych has its own setting and is reminiscent of a film set. Gabriela Carrzo and Frank Schartier create a disturbing, dark and self-contained world, while placing a unique and extreme language of movement and performance at the heart of their creations.

Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier established the Belgian dance theatre company, Peeping Tom, in 2000 and have been artistic directors ever since. The company’s signature style is characterised by a hyper-realistic set, that is broken up over the course of the performance and increasingly dissolves the logic of time, space and mood. The spectator becomes a witness—a voyeur—to what is actually hidden and concealed.

Gabriela Carrizo and Franck Chartier create a disturbing, dark, and enclosed world, being typical for the work Peeping Tom, while at the same time putting a unique and extreme language of movement and performance at the centre of the pieces.
